More – The Sisters of Mercy

If you are a survivor of nineties era goth/industrial dance clubs, then you know this song. You know, the 38 minute club mix that sounded like a good idea to dance to fifteen minutes ago or so. The Make it Stop Mix.

The song is amazing and I used to listen to it endlessly in my free time. But dancing to it every weekend? I must of lost five pounds a night. Let us all be thankful Andrew Eldritch and company never covered In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.

Still, More was co-written and co-produced by the late, the mighty Jim Steinman, he of Bat Out of Hell and Total Eclipse of the Heart fame. And for my money, that’s the baddest of the bad. Viva la Steinman!
