I just read on Wikipedia that Beyond Belief is considered both a critical hit and a fan favorite.

Mmkay.

I’ve been laboring under the illusion that I was hot shit for being the only living boy in New York – by way of Reno, NV and Ashland, OR – who ever liked this song.

For years.

Decades.

Seriously, this song is in my Top 50. Maybe the Top 25. It’s amazing from start to finish. And nobody ever freaking talks about it. Never have I ever stumbled into a cafe and heard Beyond Belief playing on a crappy boombox. Never seen it appear on any jukebox.

Nothing. Nada. Never.

And still, it’s one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard.
